Anchiva web application protection is a solution designed to protect web servers. It's deployed in front of Web servers to provide real-time scanning, inspecting and filtering to http/https protocol traffic before they go through the web servers, and thus block malicious content and activities from accessing web servers and executing unauthorized operations.
Anchiva secure web gateway decodes related factors in URL parameters, post forms and HTTP head submitted by users, and by matching signatures from database and user defined policies identify the malicious content and enforce corresponding policy. It included three aspects:
-Deep analysis on HTTP/HTTPS protocolsAnchiva secure web gateway conducts deep analysis on HTTP/HTTPS protocols, exam all fields such as cookie, get parameters, and post forms and decode them if needed to inspect the original content for malicious content. But traditional IPS products cannot do this and fail to provide effective inspection to web application targeted attacks.-Proprietary signature databaseAnchiva web security researchers extract attacking signatures from a large amount of samples of all types of web attacks. As new types of attacks appear, new signatures will be extracted and database will get updated and sent to users through automatic upgrade networks. The attack signature database is the most core content of Anchiva Web Application Firewall.-Support user defined policyBesides Anchiva attack signature database, users are free to define policy according to specific website by setting rule to block unauthorized access. Some predefined policies are also provided to users for easy reference.
