Webmail tools such as Gmail and Yahoo! Mail have gained tremendous popularity. They can be useful for business and personal use, providing real time communication to increase productivity. However, in most cases there is no security, control, or policy about their use. Webmail may:

-  Leak confidential enterprise information

-  Infect with malware as not monitored by traditional email gateway solutions, which inspect SMTP and POP3, but not http/https, traffic.

-  Offer department and user group-based policy to Webmail control. For example, allow marketing staff and management team member to Webmail while limit RD members use.

-  Provide URL-based control to Webmail. For example, allow Gmail while limit Yahoo Mail.

-  Support keyword filtering, retain viewing and sending ability while prohibit text and attachment containing specific keyword to prevent data leakage.
