Deployed at internet gateway, Anchiva's SWG, provides real-time inspection and filtering of inbound and outbound internet traffic. Anchiva's Secure Web Gateways provide:

Anti-malware

URL Filtering

The SWG utilizes URL filtering technology from Commtouch technologies. With more than 60 website categories, and "cloud" heuristic collection and classification platform, Anchiva’s URL filtering features can be used to decrease web risk, increase employee productivity, enforce web application use policies, reduce bandwidth loss and diminish legal risk. 64 catagories that can be filtered by Anchiva SWG are:

Application control

Identifying and controlling non-productive application use can lower enterprises risk of infections and help to increase employee productivity. Granular controls based on user and group privileges can be applied to allow, block, limit or record employee access to internet applications such as online gaming, online stock trading, online TV, p2p, tunnel software, streaming media, IM, Webmail and other web applications. Full logging and reporting capabilities give IT staff detailed information on internet use. The flexibility of the SWG policy engine allows for exempt rules and policies to be put into place for staff requirement of the use of certain internet applications. In the current release, the Anchiva SWG can recognize and control more than 100 web-applied softwares, including Wujie, FreeGate and other encrypted tunnel software.

In recent release, more than 1,300 web applications can be identified and controls applied by the Anchiva SWG with an additional signature customization and update service.

Bandwidth Management

Web-based applications, IP/IP group, the user/user group, time period of the uplink traffic and downlink traffic bandwidth guarantee as well as bandwidth limitations, not only can provide non-critical network applications control and speed limits, but also be able to provide bandwidth guarantees and application acceleration for critical business systems or Web applications. Meanwhile, the flexible bandwidth priority allocation and fair allocation technologies can not only achieve an average of user-based bandwidth allocation, but also be able to realize a dynamic allocation of idle bandwidth based on user's priority, which automatically upgrade bandwidth efficiency.

Support custom protocol and provide constant signature customization and upgrading services.

Web server content protection

Deployed in front of a web server or web server farm, the SWG monitors traffic sent from the client to the web server, looking for attempts to upload malicious code or attacks aimed at disrupting the normal operations of the web server.
