Craig Johnson
Craig Johnson is cofounder and Managing Director of Concept2Company Ventures, LLC (C2C), a seed venture capital company based in Palo Alto, California. Prior to joining C2C, Craig was the Chairman and cofounder of Venture Law Group. He graduated from Yale in 1968 (magna cum laude), spent two years teaching in the Peace Corps in Ethiopia, worked with Burroughs in Pasadena as a systems computer programmer and left to start law school at Stanford, from which he graduated in 1974. After law school he joined the Palo Alto law firm of Wilson, Mosher & Sonsini (now Wilson, Sonsini, Goodrich & Rosati) as its 14th attorney. In 1993 he left WSG & R with 13 other attorneys to start Venture Law Group, which today is part of Heller Ehrman LLP. Among the companies VLG helped to start were Yahoo!, Cerent (sold to Cisco for $7 Billion), Lightera (sold to Ciena for $600 Million), Foundry Networks, Hotmail and WebTV (both sold to Microsoft) and Rosetta Inpharmatics (sold to Merck in 2001 for $540 Million). Among the companies Craig represented from incorporation through initial public offering or acquisition were Adaptec, Wyse, Collagen, StrataCom, Aspect, SnapTrack, Gupta, MediaQ and IPWireless.
In addition to co-founding Venture Law Group and Concept2Company, Craig is the co-founder of several other companies, including Garage Technology Ventures and Financial Engines. These companies have raised more than $250 Million in venture capital.
Craig was recognized in 1997 by Business Week as one of Silicon Valley's top 25 "movers and shakers," in 1999 by Red Herring Magazine as one of nine Silicon Valley "top power brokers," in 2000 by the National Law Journal as one of the 100 most influential attorneys in America and in 2001 and 2002 by Forbes as one of the country's top private company investors ("Midas List"). Craig no longer practices law. He lives in Portola Valley, California and Jackson Hole, Wyoming with his wife, Pamela, and enjoys biking in Europe and movies.

Jia-bin Duh
Jia-bin Duh is the Vice President of Cisco Systems and former President of Cisco China. Jia-Bin Duh directs Cisco's strengthening local presence in China, both from a sales and marketing perspective. He is responsible for enhancing Cisco's sales and technical teams, further expanding Cisco's ties with its channel partners, and managing the overall operation of Cisco's China offices.
Before joining Cisco, Duh spent five years with Microsoft China first as general manager of the representative office, and later as president of Microsoft China, the wholly owned subsidiary.
During his tenure with Microsoft, Duh grew the software company's PRC revenue by more than 100 times, and saw the number of employees expand from less than 20 to more than 250. As general manager, he established Microsoft in China as a full-fledged functional subsidiary that comprises sales and marketing, consulting, manufacturing, R&D, support, and publishing. One of Duh's key achievements has been to help Microsoft build up solid, lasting relationships with the PRC government and key opinion leaders in China.
In addition, in making a significant contribution to the development of China's software industry, Jia-Bin Duh was a key architect of Microsoft's increasing R&D presence, in co-operation with the government and local partners. Microsoft is currently regarded as one of the leaders in developing localised products for the China market.
Before joining Microsoft, Duh worked in Hewlett-Packard for over 10 years, holding a variety of managerial positions in sales, marketing, and engineering. He started his IT career with ITRI (Industrial Technology Research Institute) in Taiwan, where he was elected "Prominent Engineer" twice during his two years with the Institute.

Chun Chiu
Mr. Chiu has over 30 years of experience in the high-tech industry in the Silicon Valley. His current interests include assisting entrepreneurs and investors in starting and building successful businesses. Chun started to incubate NetScreen Technologies Inc. (NSCN) in late 1997 by forming and shaping the company, raising funds, and building the management team.
Mr. Chiu started his career as an IC Design Engineer, with involvement in developing the industry's first single chip calculator and watch in the early 1970s. Subsequently, he led a team to develop and introduce EPROM products. In 1976, he joined Hewlett-Packard, and engaged in the development of personal computer chips. In 1980, he co-founded Integrated Device Technology, Inc. (IDTI), where he developed hi-speed, low-power CMOS static RAM, as well as hi-speed DSP chips such as the 16-bit multiplier/accumulator. In 1986, while still at IDT, he switched tracks from engineering to business, and successfully established the Asia-Pacific market, as well as penetrating a tough Japanese market. In 1988, he left IDT and founded Quality Semiconductor Inc. (QSI), where he served as President, CEO, and Chairman. He brought QSI to its IPO in 1994, and eventually merged QSI into IDT in 1999.

Ralph Liu
Mr. Liu brought to us extensive experiences in management, business development, and market strategy in the Network Security domains. He was the vice president and general manager of Trend Micro, Asia Pacific from May 2002 to late 2007. Reporting directly to President and CEO Steve Chang, Liu was responsible for Trend Micro's operations in all Asia-Pacific markets outside of Japan, overseeing sales, marketing, technical support, finance and human resources. At Trend Micro, he successfully grew its APAC revenue to US$100M a year with a compound growth rate of 30%.
Mr. Liu is now President and Managing Partner of Green and Associate Management Consulting Firm. He enjoys sharing his experiences, vision, and passion with corporate executives by providing consulting service to enterprises in Greater China Region.
Liu's career includes extensive management experience with several leading technology companies at the country, regional and global levels. Before joining Trend Micro, he was vice president of the New Business Architecture Office at Acer, Inc. responsible for new business development in e-solutions and e-services. Prior to that, he was president and CEO of Acer TWP, a subsidiary which develops, publishes and distributes business and entertainment software, games and IT training materials.
Liu spent five years with Novell, progressing from general manager of the Taiwan branch to managing director for greater China with oversight of five regional offices. He also served as sales manager and deputy general manager for Oracle in Taiwan, and held management positions in sales and marketing at HP and IBM Taiwan. Ralph earned his MBA from the University of Missouri-Columbia and his B.S. at Soochow University in Taiwan. |
